Languages Other Than English (LOTE) - Chinese
At Boynewood State School, students in Years 3 to 6 have the opportunity to learn Chinese through a specialist language program delivered by our Chinese teacher. Students participate in regular lessons that align with the Australian Curriculum and support the development of language and intercultural understanding.
Our Chinese program goes beyond learning a new language. Students are introduced to the rich Chinese culture, helping them develop an appreciation for different history, traditions and customs of ways of life and perspectives from around the world.
Learning another language encourages students to become effective communicators, critical thinkers and globally aware citizens. Through language learning, students build confidence, strengthen their communication skills and develop a deeper understanding of cultural diversity.
